Rachel Ankomah is the Founder and President of Accra Majestics and serves as the club’s Head Coach. As a Sports Development Officer with the National Sports Authority (NSA) and the Director of Corporate Communications for the Ghana Rugby Football Union, she brings national-level leadership and elite expertise to the grassroots level.
The Journey: A Vision for Change
Rachel founded Accra Majestics with a clear, unwavering mission: to use sport as a vehicle for social change, discipline, and opportunity. Her journey is rooted in the belief that rugby is more than a game—it is a tool for building character and community. From the club’s inception, she has navigated the complexities of sports administration in Ghana to create a haven for athletes to thrive both on and off the pitch.
Role & Impact: Leading from the Front
As President, Rachel provides the strategic "North Star" for the organization, ensuring every decision aligns with the club's core values. In her dual role as Head Coach, she is a hands-on mentor, emphasizing mental resilience, inclusivity, and technical growth. Her unique position at the intersection of national governance and local coaching allows her to bridge the gap between high-level policy and real-world athlete development.
The Legacy
Through her work with the NSA and GRFU, Rachel ensures that Accra Majestics is not just a local club, but a recognized, credible, and forward-thinking institution on the continental stage
