RUGBY UNION

Rugby Union is the global expression of the sport, played in 7s, 10s, and 15s formats. Through Union, our athletes unlock opportunities that reach far beyond Ghana connecting with the Ghana Rugby Football Union (GRFU), Africa and the international rugby community. Our programs cater to ages 6 – 40, preparing athletes for competition and leadership on and off the field.

Our Plans

We’re committed to building a sustainable Rugby Union pathway that empowers athletes for a future in sport and life:

• Youth Development - Expand Union rules and appreciation through schools & communities, with PE teacher training and grassroots outreach.

• 7s Rugby - A dynamic, fast‑paced entry point for new athletes.

• 15s Rugby - Long‑term capacity building for senior team success and deeper competition.

Focus Areas

• Technical Skills - Mastering scrums, lineouts, rucks, mauls, and set pieces.

• Fitness & Conditioning - Preparing athletes for the physical and mental demands of Union rugby.

• Women’s Rugby - Expanding access and representation for female athletes in both 7s and 15s.
